Alila Fort Bishangarh

Perched magnificently upon a granite hill and offering a 360-degree view of Aravalli Hills and Rajasthani landscape, Alila Fort Bishangarh is a 232-year-old warrior fort that has undergone a brilliant transformation with a total of 59 rooms and suites.

After thirteen years in restoration, the original fort is left intact, with much care given to ecological restoration and the reconstruction of new residential areas, to recreate the courtly flavour of Shahpura’s royalty.

The warrior fort that has been converted into a heritage resort, Alila Fort Bishangarh is a unique example of the Jaipur Gharana architecture influenced by both the Mughals and the British.

As befitting its royal heritage, Alila Fort Bishangarh has its own holdings, which includes the charming Bishangarh village and its havelis (mansions). Alila Fort Bishangarh is a three-hour drive from Delhi and an hour’s drive from Jaipur.
